Real Madrid: 7 greatest moments of the last decade:

Real Madrid is one the best clubs in Europe with a great history and also remarkable achievements. Let us have a look at the best moments of Real Madrid's 7 most iconic moments in the last decade.

7. Ronaldo's header vs Barcelona in Copa Del Rey Final(2010-11).

Real Madrid were up against Pep Guardiola's Barcelona in Copa Del Rey Final and the game went to extra time with 0-0 score. In extra time, Di Maria gave a superb cross to Ronaldo and Ronaldo leaped and put the ball in the net with his head. Thanks to this goal, Real Madrid won the Copa Del Rey, which was the first trophy under Jose Mourinho and it really meant a lot considering it was against one of the best Barcelona side ever.

6. Gareth Bale's goal vs Barcelona in Copa Del Rey Final(2013-14)

Same tournament, same opponent but everything was different this time. Di Maria scored the first goal of the game, later equalized by Marc Bartra. In the 85th minute, Gareth Bale received the ball inside the Madrid's half on the left flank, and he dribbled the ball away from the Barcelona defender Marc Bartra and ran superfast to get the ball back and going all the way to score the goal by himself through the goalkeepers legs. This is one of the best goals Gareth Bale scored in his career.

5. Ronaldo's hattrick vs Wolfsburg(2015-16).

Real Madrid were drawn against Wolfsburg in UCL 15/16 Quarter Final which looked an easy opponent to everyone. But in the first leg, Real Madrid conceded two goals and were 0-2 behind on aggregate. After the first leg, Manager and some players of Wolfsburg made fun of Ronaldo saying that playing against was Ronaldo was easier than their small kids. But in the second leg, Ronaldo fired in 2 goals quick in the 15th and 17th min, and then the game continued at slow pace until 77th min, when Real Madrid had won a freekick and Ronaldo stood there to take it and struck that freekick straight through the wall into the far corner. Real Madrid went on to win the game 3-2 on aggregate and also went on to the Champions League.

4. Laliga win after Ronaldo's departure.

During his time with Real Madrid, Ronaldo used to score 50-60 goals every season. So after his departure, the most important and challenging task was to fill that void of goals. After Ronaldo's departure, the first season went really bad as Real Madrid sacked Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari and reappointed Zidane. With the appointment of Zidane, Real Madrid just went upwards. In the next season, to fill the void of Ronaldo's goals, Zidane turned his side into a really defensive side which conceded really less goals, and due to that Real Madrid(87 points) went on to win the league ahead of Barcelona(85 points). Karim Benzema(21 goals) was the 2nd top scorer behind Leo Messi(25 goals) while Thibaut Courtois won the Zamora trophy ahead of Jan Oblak. This season is special because Real Madrid were struggling very much after Ronaldo's departure and this season helped to get back the confidence of the team.

3. Laliga 100 points winner(2011-12).

This Real Madrid side under Mourinho was a direct rival to the greatest Barcelona side in history under Pep Guardiola. But Real Madrid created history and became the first team to get 100 points in league and scored 121 goals averaging 3.18 goals per game which is still a record for any team. Real Madrid had 3 players in the top 5 scorers in the league with Ronaldo(46 goals), Gonzalo Higuain(22 goals) and Karim Benzema(21 goals) being the 2nd, 4th and 5th top scorer respectively. This season is great because it was against the greatest Barcelona side and Real Madrid were having a hard luck with trophies during that time.

2. Real Madrid three-peat winners (2015-18).

Okay I can't choose between an individual campaign of three-peat win. So I'll put them together. Real Madrid winning three Champions League in a row is one of the biggest achievements ever and it is really tough for any other side to even match that feat. Real Madrid had countless great moments during this three-peat run. Some of them being, Ronaldo's hattrick against Wolfsburg, Ramos scoring his 2nd goal in UCL Finals, Lucas Vasquez spinning the football on his finger before his penalty shootout against Oblak, Ronaldo's penalty against Oblak, Ronaldo scoring 10 goals in 5 games against the likes of Manuel Neuer, Jan Oblak and Gigi Buffon, and that too, scoring in Qf, Sf and Final of Champions League, Real Madrid's win against the PSG side full of stars, Ronaldo's Bicycle kick, Ronaldo's penalty in the injury time against Juventus, Gareth Bale's Masterclass against Liverpool in the final coming off the bench and scoring one the best goals in UCL with his bicycle kick. There are many many more moments but there is only one reason this couldn't be on the top of the list.

1. Sergio Ramos 92:48 (2013-14)

Arguably the most iconic moment of the last decade and probably the most iconic moment in whole Real Madrid's history. Before 2013-14, Real Madrid, 9 times UCL winners (the most) were on a UCL drought for 12 years and last won it in 2002 with Zidne's iconic volley in Finals. While Real Madrid reached the final in 2013-14 season and were against their city rivals Atletico Madrid. In the game, Atletico got their first goal scored by Diego Godin. The game stayed 1-0 for almost all time. In the injury time, when Atletico Madrid just would've thought they won the UCL, Real Madrid got a corner and Luka Modric took it and in came Sergio Ramos' header putting the ball into the far corner of the goal and Real Madrid equalized the game. The match went on to extra time and Real Madrid scored 3 goals in extra time thanks to Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo. Thus, Real Madrid ended it's UCL drought after 12 years and won the LA DECIMA.
